Capcom has officially announced the arrival of the demo for the highly anticipated fighting game Street Fighter 6 on PlayStation 4 and PS5. The demo allows players to create a character that they can carry over to the full game when it is released. This demo will be coming to PC and Xbox Series X on April 26, after being a PlayStation exclusive for a little while.

During the Street Fighter 6 Showcase hosted by Lil Wayne, several other announcements about the game were made. Capcom revealed new details about the game modes, including World Tour and Battle Hub modes. Takayuki Nakayama, the game director, explained that players can level up and gain new skills throughout their journey in the World Tour mode. They can also build friendships with Masters to gain access to specific moves. Additionally, there will be four new characters arriving in the game’s Year 1 of support, including Rashid, A.K.I, Ed, and Akuma. There are other exciting features like detailed fundamentals and player-specific tutorials, Team Battles, Extreme Battles, Ranked Matches and the ability to make custom rooms when playing online.

The showcase also revealed some new features such as the ability to hear sounds indicating certain move types and distances to make the game more accessible. A brand-new gameplay style called Dynamic has been introduced that is offline-only and AI-assisted. We also saw a little bit of Arcade Mode where players can earn illustrations and compete with others for the highest score.

If you’re a fan of the Street Fighter franchise, or even if you’re new to the series, this showcase had something for everyone. Street Fighter 6 is scheduled to release on June 2, 2023, for PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X.
