The upcoming co-op-focused, open-world first-person shooter game Redfall is set to release worldwide on May 2, 2023, for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC via Windows, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The Redfall Twitter page has shared the global release schedule, and a new launch trailer showcasing cinematic gameplay footage has also gone live on Youtube. The game will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass’s extensive library on the same day of its launch.
Developed by Arkane Studios, Redfall has been one of the most highly anticipated Xbox games yet. The game’s story is about a group of survivors who aim to save the town of Redfall from a horde of evil vampires through cooperative play.
Despite the excitement for the game, the news of it launching at only 30 FPS with a 60 FPS mode coming after has sparked some controversy. However, the game’s gameplay footage is enough to excite the players keen on wild vampire-hunting gameplay, and its cross-play support across Xbox consoles and PC could make it one of the most played games in 2023.
