The highly anticipated Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion, which builds upon every aspect of the critically acclaimed Monster Hunter Rise game, is now available on multiple gaming platforms including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation®5, and PlayStation®4, bringing in a new storyline, new monsters, new combat options, and more for hunters everywhere.
Players will embark on a new journey through the faraway Kingdom, where they will encounter new foes, new locales, and the challenge of the Master Rank quest difficulty. The expansion introduces hunters to three powerful creatures known as the Three Lords, which includes the chilling Fanged Wyvern Lunagaron, the conjoined elemental powerhouse Garangolm, and the vampiric Elder Dragon Malzeno. In addition to these new foes, the expansion also brings back returning fan-favorites like Scorned Magnamalo, Espinas, and Shagaru Magala, all waiting to challenge hunters in the added Master Rank quest difficulty.
To help hunters meet these challenges head-on, an arsenal of new Switch Skills for all 14 weapons is now available, allowing hunters to perform a variety of new weapon actions. The addition of two different Switch Skill loadouts also provides players with the flexibility to choose which skills are best for any situation, while performing a successful Swap Evade can ultimately avoid danger or reposition for a continued assault.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak also introduces new ways for players to bond with the game’s charming cast of characters through new Follower Quests. These single player hunts enable players to accept and complete quests with their favorite story characters, who can even aid players in battles.
Users can now download trailers and other assets for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak from the Capcom Press Center. The game launches on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 with all post-release content up to Free Title Update 3 (Ver.13).
